When you're engrossed in the day to day work of a newly launched company, you rarely have a chance to see, in person, how your work impacts the people you are trying to delight. At Loom, we're so fortunate to produce products that people have taken time and care to create online, but we seldom get to interact with people in person.
This April, we set out to really get in front of our customers through private home trunk shows, to enable them to touch and feel our fabrics, see our product styles and interact together whether it was to answer quick questions or to really spend time sharing design advice. What an extraordinary time we're having and what wonderful people we're meeting! We want to send a huge thanks to our latest hostesses for opening their homes to Loom and for sharing the Loom experience with their friends.
People got really interactive, bringing their favorite swatches to our computer station while playing with our virtual design tool. Otile couldn't believe she could select her favorite fabrics in person and then see them come to life on a duvet, right before her eyes!
We loved that people are arriving to our trunk shows already having been on the site with so many ideas, ready to "get down to design business." It was a pleasure helping Liz, last week, choose the most gorgeous Ring Top Drapes in Sultan Pepper Sapphire (a Loomer favorite!) to match a swatch she brought to the trunk show. She was so excited to complete her bedroom look! Yes, it can be that easy!
Perhaps one of the highlights of our trunk shows so far has been watching guests get excited about sharing design advice with each other as they browse the fabrics, talk through ideas, and ask questions about what would go with what.
Finally, one of our favorite moments was at the Vanderbilt Tri Delta Sorority House trunk show where budding young designers-to be were giddy at our "Be the Buyer" contest where they voted on their favorite fabrics to add to our fabric collection. Thanks ladies!
